You may ask yourself, why the name Sleepin-Dogs? Good question. While Susan was studying for her M.B.A. at Texas Woman's University here in Denton, one of her assignments was to create a fictitious company, create a business plan and a multitude of other tasks as you can imagine with said degree. She decided she wanted a company in the pet industry but we couldn't come up with a good name. After hours of brainstorming, we looked around all three of our dogs were "Sleepin". Thus the name "Sleepin-Dogs" was born. Having been designing and developing websites since 2002, it was time to turn our website adventure into a real company and the name "Sleepin-Dogs.com Website Designs" was born.
We have three dogs and a cat. We're outnumbered, but we love them as family. We have Shelby the Husky, Harley the Dachshund, and Spot the Chihuahua. The latter two were rescued. Newman the cat was discovered with his litter mates in a boat at Lewisville Lake.
Susan is the business professional who helps run the company with a keen sense of business. Steve is the lead web designer and person you will speak with most of the time. Syndi has an excellent eye for photography and we sometimes employ her photography skills for on-site website photography.
Most of all, we are Denton, Texas residents and have been since 1992. Susan is a graduate of Texas Woman's University and Syndi currently attends the University of North Texas. Steve is a retired U.S. Army, Desert Storm Veteran. He has served on the Board of Directors for two Denton Homeowners Associations since 2002 and has served on the Board of Directors for Keep Denton Beautiful. Susan recently served on the Board of Directors of the Denton Chapter of the Texas Woman's University Alumni Association.
